I randomly came across your blog when searching about orgs supporting education in Africa...and I knew you and your family years ago when I worked at Brearley! Not sure if you are still active in Africa, but I work at ACLS which created the African Humanities program there...now it's own entity of African scholars in the humanities...funded by Carnegie. Hoping you still blog about advances in education there. And hoping Claire and Chloe are doing well.

All my best-Mary

Dear Isabel: As always when I read your commentary, I learn so much and see so much more in the art. Thanks once again for taking the time to describe the work, its meaning and sometimes what it means to you. I also agree with so many of the artists you selected as ones to watch over time.
I really enjoy your perceptive blog!!

Hi Michele,
I hope you can come and visit New York in early March for the art fair where there will be many African artists on show or in May for the 2016 1:54 fair.
Best,
